The curved-rounded base shape of the Natura Table Lamp inspired by traditional oil lanterns. The experiences on opening a glass cover applied seamlessly on the lamp shade mechanism. This lamp offers a new way to enjoy light that is filtered by a translucent M-Tex which also has its own unique natural texture. It base made from Kalpa, a solid composite material made from coffee waste, with a casting method to create a smooth curved shape to add a tactile expression. Through this piece, we are aiming to encourage the application of these sustainable materials in a contemporary context.
